synchronize your body & mind with gentle mindful movement
relax the body, calm the mind and restore vitality
Meridian Touch Japanese Qigong uses breath and gentle movement to circulate the body’s natural energy or Ki (prana in yoga). Based on ancient Qigong and Japanese Shiatsu exercises, Meridian Touch Japanese Qigong is a series of restorative movements anyone can do. In MTJQ we honor the body’s capacities and limitations and we support the body-mind’s natural affinity to being balanced. Through Meridian Touch Japanese Qigong we learn that there is no “perfect” form except for the one that allows us to completely relax. Never reaching beyond our comfort level, paradoxically as we practice “the Art of Letting Go” we melt into a state of balance.
In class you’ll learn a simple breathing technique, different movements based on Japanese Five Element & Meridian Theory and partnered movements. The class is fun, restorative and noncompetitive. If you feel that yoga isn’t for you, try MTJQ and see what happens. You might be surprised!
